The Video

Asians Misbehavin' was the recipient of a grant from WYBE (one of Philadelphia's PBS stations) to bring some of our stage pieces to television.

The result is our first video, directed by Anula Shetty and Michael Kuetemeyer (Termite Television Collective, www.termite.org), which features standup comedy, spoken word, and two of our most well-known sketches:

"How to Spot Asiaphiles" -- an infomercial to help Asian women figure out if the man in their lives harbors a secret Asian fetish, and

"Sweet & Sour" -- an ultracondensed feature film, in which an American crashes in an Asian rainforest to search for his comrades, but finds love instead.

The video aired on WYBE-TV during the Summer of 2006.  We are currently applying for a grant to make our second video.

We are also working to make a DVD of our video available on the internet -- more details to follow!
